Streamlined Data Center Technology

In July 2009, Juniper Networks, the leader in high-performance network infrastructure and data centre integration, and IBM entered into a strategic OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) agreement that has transformed the landscape of Data Center Technology. Data Center Managers face more urgent challenges than ever before with the explosion of data demands and server security. These demands caused by global and near-constant high-speed connectivity and data demands have pushed existing networks to the limit. Data Center Managers are expected to meet these exponential demands for data, whilst still being under pressure to reduce TCO, improve performance, and reduce the carbon footprint of their Data Centers. Juniper Networks and IBM provides the products and expertise that meets these next generation data center challenges.

The agreement allows IBM to brand, label and sell select Juniper Networks EX Series Ethernet Switches as IBM j-type e-series Ethernet switches, MX Series 3D Universal Edge Routers as IBM j-type m-series Ethernet routers, and SRX Series Services Gateways, which will be available in the first half of 2010.
